Our project is to encourage children to make Valentine’s Day cards for the less fortunate. We collect the cards and deliver them to local hospital patients, nursing home and hospice residents, and to clients of Food & Friends to bring smiles to faces.

   People do feel the love when they receive these cards and the students feel it when they draw the cards. This past Valentine’s Day, more than 45,000 children spread the love by making cards! Add the children to the recipients and you have 90,000 smiles! And that doesn’t even count the teachers, parents, and staff who share the joy.  These Valentines are truly made by hand, felt by hearts.
